Apple has recorded a patent for a new invention that allow to modify documents or presentations in addition to pictures and texts without the need to save them by the user.
The application automatically saves any modifications by user, for instance, in case of deleting some text or content, pasting new content or the user stopped modifying a document; also the saving process happens in case of printing file or at the end of a definite period.
The application looks like it has the same policy applied in modifying documents cloud services, but it will vary with Apple, as all these services are available, but through an application installed in your computer.
It is well known that saving process after modifying documents acts as a headache for many users, especially if there work depends basically on amending documents. So, with the new patent from Apple, users will not think every moment in saving document to prevent the loss of his work.
Anyhow, it seems that the only benefit will go to Apple customers.
